Herring Bay Yacht Club (HBYC) was established in 1954 to "foster, encourage and further the sport of yachting." Our members are actively engaged in cruising, land based social events, educational, and community service activities.

The Club sits on Herring Bay on beautiful Chesapeake Bay. Boats leaving our Marinas are immediately in the Bay's wind slot, which is ideal for a pleasured filled day or sight seeing across the whole bay --especially during summer months.

HBYC's members are a diverse group brought together by their mutual enjoyment of boating. The club welcomes prospective members to join us. HBYC welcomes all from near and far, and is often engages cruisers and racers from other clubs.
